SUNDAY 7th FEBRUARY:- Wind NNE F1 Weather Part Cloudy
Launched 0053 Back on station 0122
The Coastguard requested the launch of the ILB after they had been informed by the Police that a person had been seen entering the water by La Frigate Cafe. The Police were in communication with the person who had no intention of going back to shore. The Police requested the ILB to stand by in the area as they tried to talk the person back. The talks were successful in the end so the ILB was stood down.
THURSDAY 11th FEBRUARY:- Wind NE F6-7 Weather Sheet showers
Crew assembled:- 0741 Back on station 1020
The Coastguard called initially for the ILB to search within the main harbour and La Collette Marina after a fishermans gear was found at the end of the Albert Pier. The fishing rods had fresh bait on the hooks and a ruck sack was also near by. The Fire Service RIB was also called to help search the area. After searching these areas the ALB was called to search the approaches to St Helier Harbour and along the coast to La Corbiere Point. The Two Coastguard Pilot vessels were also used in the search. After nothing found the search was called off.
TUESDAY 16th FEBRUARY:- Wind S-SSW F6 Weather fair
Crew assembled: 1045 Back on station 1200
The Coastguard requested ILB standby after the VTS operator (one of our ILB Helmsman Robin Fitzgerald) spotted a small dory boat leaving St Helier. Robin was concerned for the well fair of the occupants of the vessel as the sea conditions were not good, around 1.5 - 2 mtr swell. Robin was able to keep an eye of the vessel right up until it went passed Noirmont. A few moments later the Coastguard received a 999 call to say the two occupants of this vessel were on the rocks!! The ALB was then bleeped and the ILB launched immediately. The Coastguard Pilot vessels were also sent to the area. The wreckage of the vessel was spotted by the crew of the pilot vessel subsequently the two persons were spotted on the rocks. The ILB was sent in to pick them up when one complained of back pain. The ILB transferred the two casualty persons to the ALB which dropped them back to a waiting ambulance in St Helier.

SUNDAY 18TH APRIL:- Wind NNE F1 Weather Fine
Crew Assembled:- 1936 Back on Station 2145
The ILB was paged as the Coastguard received a call from the Police as they were concerned for the welfare of someone seen walking out to Elizabeth Castle but not seen returning back. With the tide on the flood and the Castle now cut off from the crew were tasked with a shoreline search around the west side of the Castle then tasked to search St Aubins Bay. After just over 2 hours of searching the ILB was stood down.

THURSDAY 29th APRIL:-
Time:- 2345
Jono the stations full time mechanic was at the station when he observed a French sailing vessel approached the St Helier Marina entrance. With the tide on the ebb the sailors went to try and beat the marina entrance gate but failed. The yacht then became stuck fast on the gate and with the station Y class tried to pull the yacht off without success. The crew were then taken off of the yacht, secured and refloated on the morning tide.
